Media: Fear Mongering Sluts

I am using my inaugural address as a blogger to applaud the media giants for successfully extinguishing the last flames of hope for our exhausted economy. Everyday on the news you hear the pundits tell you how royally fucked we are, then in the next breathe they tell us to "tighten your belts". What kind of conflicting bullshit is that to feed the public? 1) Without spending businesses can't profit. 2) If businesses can't profit they can't pay employees and those employees lose their jobs. 3) Without jobs people spend less. 4) Start back at one and around and around we go.

You might be asking yourself why the media would do something like this? I can think of only two explanations. First, they are all bat shit crazy. Second, and more likely, they do it because fear sells. They're putting us in a position where no amount of imaginary bailout money will do a bit of good. Watch, after they help destroy the economy, they're going to help start a second cold war. All aboard the fear train. My hats off to you, media. Well done.
